The set is incredibly beautiful. I shopped all over San Antonio, Texas and could not find anything close to this price. I was really afraid to spend this much money on the internet; in fact it's the most I've ever spent on the internet. [...] I was absolutely wowed. Better than the pictures. The drawers are all dovetailed and slide perfectly. 90% of the furniture is real wood with very little composites.

I bought this bed, along with the five drawer chest and two nightstands. It arrived a few days ago in perfect condition. It is beautiful and seems very well made. The drawers fully extend which is nice. My only complaint is that the grain on the panels on the headboard and footboard, the tops, sides and drawer fronts of the dresser and nightstand is strong and when you run your hand over it you can feel the grain. Everywhere else it is sanded smooth. It takes it a bit towards the rustic, country style. It's not really that noticeable and doesn't look really rustic. I just wish I had known this before I purchased as I'd prefer it was all sanded smooth. Please don't get me wrong, the pieces are very beautiful. I like them very much. I am keeping them. It's just not *exactly* what I wanted. And furniture being so expensive you do prefer to get the exact style you wanted. I wish this had been apparent in the pictures on the websites.
I also added some support to the mattress slats. I went to my local big box hardware store with one of the two support legs provided. They cut some pieces of similar sized wood for me and I screwed them to the long piece that runs head to foot that the cross pieces attach to. The two supports on that piece that they provided are too close to the center, it needed additional ones closer to the ends. It was not hard to do. They can't be seen as they are under the bed.
Due to the grain and it needing additional support I gave it four stars instead of five.

I bought this bed online a few years ago because my sister had a Modus sleigh bed and I felt comfortable with the quality. I was not disappointed -- our bed was made of a beautiful hardwood, and was well-constructed. We use this in our bedroom, and put our box spring and mattress on top of it (so we didn't have issues with the platform slats). It is beautiful, sturdy, and good quality, much better quality than the price would reflect. It's put together well too -- we just gave our bed to our parents (we're upgrading from queen to king), and it was a cinch to take apart and fit into our SUV easily. We also bought matching side tables and dressers, and those are also great, though I don't love the hardware on them (it looks like the picture). The hardware on the dressers broke twice, but when I called the company directly, they immediately apologized and sent me several replacements. Even if you're not within the return policy, etc., I would try calling Bedroom Furniture and see what they can do if there's a problem, becausee I found them to be very helpful. They gave me the number to the manufacturer, Modus, who was very helpful, as noted. Anyway, like I said, I don't love the hardware, but I'm planning to switch it out someday (my husband likes the hardware, so I haven't been in any hurry).

Delivery prompt and as scheduled. Good condition. Customer service was great - the handles broke after we had the bed and dressers for some time, and the BF folks were super friendly and helpful. They put me in touch with Modus, who immediately sent me several replacements (which was helpful, because another one broke shortly afterwards, and I already had a replacement). It's been a couple years since then and I haven't had another handle break.

The wood and bed frame construction are great. Only problem is the transverse bed slats and longitudinal center mattress support are not sturdy enough for today's thicker, heavier matresses. End of center mattress support should attach to head and footboard to add more stiffness. Two longitudinal support slats would be better.

The bed is absolutely beautiful. The only complaint that I have would be that there isn't enough support for the matress. I added support beams so that it not only is beautiful, but sturdy.

It was a Christmas gift for our daughter and son-in-law, everyone is particularly thrilled with the style details, solid construction and beautiful cherry finish. The bed was delivered promptly after our order was placed on-line. We are extremely pleased with our purchase.

We were very happy with the quality of customer service that we have received: we felt that our questions were promptly answered, the delivery service was impeccable.
As for the quality of the bed, we thought the quality was what we expected for the price. Overall, the finish and quality of construction was impresssive. We only had a twinge of dissapointment was that the curved boards in the headboard/footboards were made of plywood. However, the rest of the bed was solid hardwood (to be exact, rubberwood which to my knowledge is a renewable resource), and the finish was satisfactory (except for a tiny imperfection that we did not notice until a couple weeks later, again on the curved boards in the headboard).
However, for this price, free shipping, including the slate pack, we felt that we got a good bargain. We looked into a few other sites, but the beds priced similarly or higher, are usually made totally of veneers.
