Page and Rhonda met while working together at a product development firm, and shared the same work ethic, attention to detail, and design sensibility. Several years later, Page decided to leave the hectic world of product design and web consulting and pursue her life-long passion for textiles. An award winning industrial designer, Page began developing home furnishing products as a creative expression of the design influences around her. Soon a creative outlet became a full-time focus and Page now leads the design and development of all Modern Basics products.

Modern Basics' line is strongly influenced by Page and Rhonda's appreciation for the quality and design sensibilities established by mid-century industrial designers and modern day designers who create products with simple, contemporary forms. Page and Rhonda painstakingly search for fabrics whose quality can be seen and felt. Subtle and sophisticated colors along with soft comfort makes Modern Basics' designs functional, usable, and downright huggable.
